I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at ArcelorMittal (East Chicago, IN) in Feb 2011
Interview
Was selected for a pre-interview at a career fair at my school. When I went into the location, I found out I was being interviewed by one person in a room full of other interviews from other companies. The interview lasted around 30-40 minutes, mainly on behavioral questions.

I applied through university. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at ArcelorMittal (Gary, IN) in Oct 2017
Interview
Initially met at a job fair and had a fairly light screening was then signed up to come back for a semi-formal interview still at the university. After answering a series of STAR (situation, task, action, result) questions i was asked to come for an onsite interview out at their offices. The on site interview was much more formal and consisted of three separate interviews with three separate people. Each interviewer had their own style (some rigid some relaxed) but for the most part they utilized the STAR booklets that the company provided. After the interviews lunch was provided and they gave us a chance to discuss what it was like being an analyst with the existing analysts. Overall the process was very thorough and occurred over the course of several weeks. I imagine if you were not recruited direct form university the process would be much more expedited. After an offer was extended i was brought back on site for a physical, a hair follicle drug test, a vision test, and a hearing test. A background check was conducted as well.

Interview
Applied for job through university career services. Had the first interview with an older manager and a newer analyst. After a few weeks I received an invite to the East Chicago plant for the final round interview. There were five of us that got invited, we signed in and did our paperwork then went off and did four one on one interviews with different managers of the department. We then had a chance to meet with some of the newer analysts over lunch and ask about the job. A few weeks later I got a call with the offer. Hair drug screen, urine test, and medical exam must be passed prior to your first day.
