The initial recruiter I spoke with did a great job representing the company and outlining the role and culture. However, the second-round interview was disappointing. The interviewer came across as disengaged and unprepared, showing little interest in the conversation. Questions were vague, unspecific, and lacked any meaningful exploration of my experience or fit for the role. The overall tone felt cold and dismissive, which made it difficult to have a productive dialogue. Based on the experience, the interview process could benefit from more consistency and better preparation to ensure strong candidates aren’t lost in later stages.
Based on my experience I would not go out of your way to prepare for interviews, and make significant effort to make time in your day during the interview process.
