The intro HR interview was great. But the second round with the hiring manager was strange.
There's a "case study" problem-solving assessment, which the HR person said would be about bidding strategies. However, it was a fabricated/very unrealistic chart of metrics, which I thought was strange, as it wasn't a real-life problem. Ultimately, they only cared about you calculating metrics like CPA, CTR, and not actually solving a problem. Also, when I asked the hiring manager, "What bidding strategy and goals should I assume for this?" they said, "PPC, you know, pay-per-click." I was a bit shocked by that response, and that's about when they lost me, as it seemed like a red flag.
