Animal Medical West interview questions

Initial communication was fine, however when I arrived the person who would be my direct supervisor had not even seen my resume. I had to tell her my previous experience while she groomed a dog. Then when we finally went to sit down and chat with another person, they didn’t really “interview” me. We really just talked about money. They wanted to know how much I made at my old salon. When I told them, one of the interviewers told me that salary would never happen there, and that if it did I would get no benefits. She acted like what I had been making previously was absurd. It made me very uncomfortable. They also asked me who else I was interviewing with. When I told them they proceeded to badmouth every other company I was considering. Then they asked me to groom a dog on the spot. We had not discussed a technical beforehand. This was just supposed to be an interview. I told them I wasn’t wearing the appropriate clothes and didn’t have my tools. They pushed me and I felt I had to say yes to be considered. I ended up using another groomers dirty tools, grooming in a small and messy area. When I was finished I was told they would get back to me within a week. No one ever contacted me.
