The initial phone screen was very impersonal and awkward. Though they claim they record it so they can be fully dialed into the conversation, there were several awkward pauses and the audible sounds of them typing away on their keyboard were very distracting. The questions were uninspiring and canned. It wasn't conversational at all and did not flow well. I honestly don't even know why/how I got the interview because my experience did not align with the specifics of the role that I didn't learn about until I was on the phone with the recruiter (write more transparent JDs).
