      Talent Acquisition Recruiter Interview

      2 Aug 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Angi in Jul 2019

      Interview

I was contacted on LinkedIn by a recruiter for the sales recruiter role. I set up a phone interview with another recruiter and it went great. The next step was an in person interview with the Chicago office with the hiring manager. I get to the office 10 minutes early for my interview and I’m put into this room and told the hiring manager will be with me shortly. 25 MINUTES LATER I’m still waiting for someone to show up. They walked passed the room and comes back in and asks if I was here for an interview.... why else would I be here ? This is my first clue that this company wasn’t professional or organize. We finished with the interview and after I get an email asking for my resume. I did a phone screen and an in person interview and no one had my resume. This was my second clue. The next clue came with rejection. I received a voicemail saying they were going to go with other candidates. A voicemail ? That’s tacky and unprofessional. If a candidate and potential employee takes time for two phone screens and an in person interview you should at least wait until they are on the phone. All in all the company has long ways to go before it reaches professionalism.
