I applied for the Accountant position. Shortly after, I was invited for an interview and after to complete an assessment. The assessment provided was focused on audit-related tasks, which seemed unrelated to the accounting role I had applied for. Despite this, I completed the test diligently. The following day, I received a rejection notice. I was surprised by the prompt rejection, especially since I believed my responses were accurate. The lack of feedback left me uncertain about the reasons for the decision. I had an impression that the company might be using candidates to complete actual work under the guise of assessments. This practice, if true, raises ethical concerns. Additionally, I noticed that the same Accountant position has been advertised on LinkedIn for several months, which further questions the company's hiring practices. I recommend aligning assessments more closely with the job description and providing constructive feedback to candidates. Transparency in the recruitment process is crucial for maintaining trust and attracting qualified professionals.
