I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Anaplan (London, England) in Jan 2020
Interview
The hiring process was very smooth and very well managed, with regular updates/contact throughout the process.
There are several steps that candidates have to go through - and whilst this might appear arduous to some, each step is well considered and helps to ensure that both you and Anaplan are making the right decision.
The internal team, including recruitment, were all very knowledgeable. In addition, the hiring team were always at hand to answer any questions, and consistently prompt with feedback

Question 1
Describe a bad work situation, and how you solved it.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Anaplan (Düsseldorf) in Aug 2025
Interview
I was contacted by the recruiter with an appropriate and enticing message, so I agreed to a first call. After the call, we decided to continue the process and a call was set with global divisional manager. In total I spoke with 6 people, all of which I would be working with should I join. While some people might be put off by this amount of calls, I very much appreciated the calls as I could gauge the people I would be working with. The interviews were more of an open discussion (greatly appreciated) and not following some general pathway. The product/market for this sales position is in a niche market and as I have a good amount of experience in the market, the discussion gravitated to the subject matter. Thus, for the interview difficulty I only put average but that is because I have the industry knowledge - without that knowledge it would have been a very difficult process.
The recruiter (Mark W.) was very proactive - informing about next steps, providing feedback, asking for feedback and so on. I always felt I was in good hands with him and because the process went so smooth, it was one of the reasons I decided to join the company.
