I was introduced to the company by a Texas-based recruiter. The position itself was based elsewhere. I had a half hour phone interview with a tech savvy business person. I was questioned about my experience with Python and NumPy. I was assigned a Python exercise to write a performant command-line anagram finder given a file containing a list of words. I took a couple of days to write a good tested implementation. I was told it was fine, and to expect an on-site interview at the client site. I waited a week but did not receive any concrete update. I am disappointed they interviewed me for an opening that apparently did not exist.
