The interview was fine. I had what I thought was a pleasant conversation with the interviewers. What I found disrespectful was the complete ghosting on AWWA’s part. They said they’d follow up with me by the end of the week after an on-site interview. After no contact, I reached out twice to understand where the silence was coming from. This was over 3 months ago. To this day, I’ve received zero answer or explanation for being ignored. It’s disappointing that the new norm for a lot of companies is to ghost interviewees after so far in the process, rather than give a straightforward rejection. But if that kind of flakey and non-communicative behavior is reflective of AWWA’s overall work environment, then it seems I’ve dodged a bullet.
