I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at American Water (Camden, NJ) in Apr 2025
Interview
I got a call from the recruiter with a few general behavioral and interest questions and asked about my experience. Then I had a video interview with hiring manager and his manager. Then I had an in person with Hiring Manager, His Manager, and two others- 4 separate interviews in the same day. All were behavioral based questions and some had a few questions around what would I do in the future, my vision, plan, etc. How/ when would I address performance issues. I thought it went well except for one, I am a people leader, I go to the tech people to delegate where I lack any knowledge. I don't think one liked that. I didn't get the job. I did get a very nice personally written email letting me know- mot just an auto reject- 1st time in a year of job searching which was very much appreciated. Looks like a great company to work for, we just had different leadership philosophies I guess.
