I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at American StaffCorp (Tulsa, OK) in Jan 2022
Interview
I was asked to use their reception computer to fill out an application after I had already applied online. When I asked if I couldn't have already completed this online the lady admitted that she forgot to send me the link to have this done. Strike one.
On the first page of the application, there is an unskippable question that requests the last four digits of your SSN. The lady assisting me through the process claimed it was part of a unique identifier that their database creates for candidates, which honestly makes me wonder what other bad decisions they make. Sorry, but I treat my personal information with care. Strike two.
I balked at entering that information and, out of habit, I minimized the frustrating web portal only to realize that there was a folder on the desktop (of the computer in the open reception area) with about ten peoples' resumes sitting in it. Strike three, obviously.
I didn't open any out of respect and confided to the lady that I felt seriously ill at ease doing further business with their company, explained the issues I had already seen, and I left the premises. Please note, there were no other candidates in for interviews, the small closet-like offices that I suspect were for interviews were all empty, and I only saw the one employee the entire time. I will grant that there could be a number of extenuating circumstances, but there were just too many red flags for me to ignore.
