There was not a formal process or even a position opening at the time of my interview. I indicated an interested through a known party and scheduled an interview with the department.

There were not many questions to answer on my qualifications or whether I was a good fit for the position based on my skills; I mostly listened to the interviewer describe the company and some of the position's needs at length.
