This was, unbeknownst to me, a cattle call style interview. A huge number of often desperate people were roped in to listen to two upper level employees spout football metaphors and barely-concealed evangelical Christianity disguising what is obviously a pyramid scheme. I was not informed what company this was before arriving; I assumed it was one of any one of the number of places I have placed applications at, but apparently they troll online for resumes. This was less an interview than a sales push, and this from a company whose growth is unsustainable (28% this year was the claim), whose sales model is rapidly becoming obsolete (insurance sales to public employee unions) and is obviously a pyramid scheme (we were told we'd be training other sales reps in a few months and, of course, splitting their residuals). Really dreadful.
