I applied through other source. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at American Eagle Outfitters
Interview
This position somehow required not one, not two, but FIVE interviews over a two month period. I wasn't looking to perform brain surgery here, just run one of their stores, which I've had more than enough experience doing in my career. Every interview was more of the same, with questions repeating themselves with each interviewer. It seemed like there was quite the lack of communication between the district manager, area manager, and corporate office on what each person's role was to be during the interview process.

Question 1
The most interesting questions related to selling intimates, which obviously requires a bit of tact and patience.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at American Eagle Outfitters (Schaumburg, IL) in May 2025
Interview
Took 2 weeks in between 3 separate interviews… after over a month of interviews and flexible on my end to reschedule for changes they needed, I never received further communication of going with another candidate.

Question 1
Availability and relatable experience. They also asked about specific examples.
I applied online. I interviewed at American Eagle Outfitters (Toronto, ON)
Interview
Phone interview with DM and then in person after I applied online. Not sure what happened as this was just before lockdown but it seems they ghosted me afterwards - I followed up when reopening was announced as I was asked to before lock down and got no response.
Probably a little different than an external candidate but I still had to meet with the recruiter and district manager which wasn’t that intimidating since I already knew them. Standard SM interview questions which are easy to answer if you have retail management experience. All together a pretty good interview considering I got the job! I loved working at AE. One of the best retailers to work for.
