I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at American Eagle Outfitters (Fresno, CA) in Sept 2012
Interview
Went in and applied in person, talked with the store manager for a few moments and she gave me an application, told me to fill it out and bring it back the same day if I could. I filled it out and turned it in 20 minutes later and she had me take a personality test. The first part was choosing adjectives you think describe you and the other part is what adjectives describe how you should behave at work. Got a call from the hiring manager a couple hours later and he scheduled the interview the next day. The interview was really laid back and casual but I still wore business attire and I think they really appreciated that. About a week later I got a call for a second interview, this time with the store manager and she just asked me some other questions about what my experiences with volunteering were and how quick I could work. She asked me if I wanted to join the team and I said yes, told me my starting salary and told me to go orientation tomorrow.
