I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon Web Services (Seattle, WA) in Oct 2020
Interview
5-6 questions. Most of the questions were within the area of expertise itself. Every interview is effectively focusing on just one or two questions for the entire interview. The key part of the process was learning that every question had 1-2 leadership principles connected to them. So when hearing the question, it is helpful to identify which Amazon leadership principles need to be highlighted for that question. There is a lunch break which wasn't an interview. And one interview was with a bar raiser (aka someone who is not a part of the team hiring - just someone at Amazon with enough experience to confirm if the candidate meets Amazon's bar or raises it).

It was first a call where she explained the process, the job, the team, compensation and what I was expecting and about the further assessment. After the assessment I had another call where she explained next steps but I didnt hear back until a month later.
