I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AlphaSights (New York, NY) in Apr 2024
Interview
In my opinion, AlphaSight's has a questionable interview process for an entry level position straight out of college. The company claims you don't need prior client service experience but grill you on the second round interview based on your ability to prospect potential clients and perform mock vetting calls. I found this to be quite strange and over the top. Additionally, I didn't learn much about the company, culture, or work environment during the interview process at all other than the fact that the company provides clients with expert knowledge. Everything that you would typically anticipate to go over or learn about during an interview was not all covered with this company. I had a bit of a bad feeling after the second round which is why I didn't think the company would be a great fit for me. Their business model didn't sound promising. From my understanding, you're cold calling professionals via LinkedIn all day and cold calling them to understand if they have the niche knowledge your client needs. Doesn't really sound like a place that requires much skill or a place where you will acquire new ones. However, it is an entry level job and they do look for college grads so if that fits your niche then I'd say give them try. I wasn't sold on it so that's why I didn't want to move forward.
Initial call with a recruiter to gain an insight into the role. This was followed by two subsequent calls with more senior members of staff which entailed more technical questions. A language test also had to be carried out.

Question 1
Describe a situation in which you had to work under pressure.
The interview process was three rounds. Initial screening, one on one interview, I didn't make it past the second round, but there was a final interview with team lead afterward.

Question 1
Role a play a scenario based on the case study you're given.
Stay away. Realized how much of a scam it is as I went through- ended on my own accord after final round. There will be no exit opportunities with this company whatsoever. You will be stuck. Know some friends who have worked here and regret every second of it.
