I got to sit down directly with the team and members and learned about their experiences and thought processes when it came to media planning and digital marketing statistics/strategy. It was really cool to see how each team member got into their roles and how they became invested in the media career landscape.
However, it was a little bit awkward during the interview at times. They weren't sure exactly what questions to ask so I had to work the conversation on my own most of the time. I am unsure if the team was prepared to interview me besides probably printing my resume a minute before we walked into the conference room. The agency is great and they do lovely work, but the interview process is haphazard.
When I walked into the room, I was expecting to be interviewed only by one person but then randomly 2 others walked in with us. I wish I was prepared for that as I was only ready for a 1:1 conversation.
The follow up was also extremely problematic. They told me they would respond in 1 to 2 weeks but they actually responded 6 weeks later with absolutely no constructive criticism. I followed up with how I could get better but I don't believe they will ever get back to me on that. Again, the process is haphazard.
