I applied online. I interviewed at Alonti Catering (Richland Hills, TX) in Jun 2024
Interview
The interview process was extremely easy. If anything too easy. It was short, maybe 10 minutes max. It was bittersweet, considering I drove 45 minutes to get there for 10 minutes. But I enjoyed my conversation, it flowed naturally and felt great. Imagine my surprise when the hiring team ghosted me. I gave them a week, and reached out with a very professional email. Absolutely nothing. It's been months now and I haven't heard anything. I would've at least appreciated a rejection email or something, but I guess it wasn't even worth that. After not hearing back for a while, I questioned whether or not the interview actually went well, but I guess I'll never know.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I believe I was asked about how well I can handle taking on multiple projects and if I was comfortable driving orders to locations if needed.
Upon applying for a catering job, I submitted my resume and cover letter online. I was then invited for an initial phone screening followed by an in-person interview where I demonstrated my culinary skills and discussed past catering experiences. This included preparing a dish on-site to showcase my cooking technique and flavor proficiency. I also participated in a situational role-play to evaluate my problem-solving and customer service abilities. After this, I met with the hiring manager to discuss expectations and potential growth within the company. The process concluded with a reference check before I received a job offer.
