I applied online and was contacted for phone interview, then I was invite for face-to-face interview in their HQs in Amsterdam. Overall it was laid-back and nice interview, I had nice conversations with two people who work there. One of them assured me after the interview that they really liked me and it's nice to talk to somebody who is so passionate about what they do and they are sure they will keep in touch. However, after more than a week I still haven't heard anything back from them. So, I decided to write a follow-up e-mail to HR, and next day I got a call early in the morning that I was not selected because I am interested in marketing and this role is about communications. Even though they liked my communication skills and I was very well prepared. I cannot remember talking about marketing during interviews and I honestly think it was just a reason they came up with to get rid of me because probably some other candidate had contacts inside the company who talked to somebody.
