Started with a recruiter following up on an application I submitted for PM working on a virtual basis. After speaking with the recruiter and hearing a salary I liked, I expressed my interest. Recruiter passed on my resume.
In a week or so, I heard back, but the recruiter apologetically asked me to take an online Kolbe personality test. Okay, I said and took 30 minutes to answer the scenarios. So then I didn't hear back for almost a month. Then it was back on, recruiter said, the position was on hold but the hiring process was back on track.
I had a good interview with the head of content, who then set up a second interview with the direct line manager and a director.
The second interview with the hiring manager and director was weird. The director talked slow and began by asking whether I had ever taken part in a behavioral interview. After considerable time-wasting, we got going, but it was never clear what they wanted to hear.
They kept asking about how I would handle errors, three or four times. They must make a lot of mistakes! Why would anyone want to join an organization so focused on errors? Focus on your strengths.
Negative vibe from org. They are not a very developed or mature company in the business. Had trouble explaining how they manage quality control, which is an ABC of project management in language services.
