Interview
Met with the hiring manager, who reviewed the company and the position. He identified interest in my candidacy for the position, and subsequently arranged for me to have a meeting with the CEO. Both of these interviews were done via online meetings.

Question 1
Standard questions regarding dealing with a difficult situation, etc.
After applying to the position, a recruiter reached out to me with a prescreen call and instructions for completing a video interview. I submitted pre-recorded answers to behavioral questions online. Once I got the opportunity for an in person interview, I was thrilled to be speaking with the founder of the company, whom I met on site. He asked me why I thought he should hire me considering I lacked any experience. It seemed like an exercise in demonstrating how little regard they have over someone's time. The interviewer said out loud, "hm, I don't think legally I can ask you how much money you make." There is a chance that this person had no idea how to navigate the interview process, and I understand that may have been a possibility here. Sure, this was early on in my career, and maybe I did not have a lot of professional experience, though it is interesting to see the professionalism someone in authority exerts, especially to those at early levels in their careers. I did not feel taken seriously or respected, though in hindsight, it is sometimes valuable to be a witness to red flags. After the interview, I did not receive a call back or any further correspondence from the recruiter.
