I applied online and was invited to an assessment day at Filton after completing the online tests. The assessment day consisted of the group activity, a situational and technical interview. There were around 10 people who were there for the interview with me. The process was quite relaxed.

I applied at the start of December 2019 and after submitting my CV and cover letter, as well as answering their question on the Work Day portal, I was invited to do a game-based assessment. They instructed to do it on your phone, however at the bottom of the email there is a hyperlink that means you can do it on your laptop/desktop. I preferred to do it this way because I thought it would be easier to concentrate and it felt a bit more serious and therefore I think I did better than I would if I completed it on my phone. After a week of my application being under review, I then received another email inviting me to a job interview mid January. The interview started at 8:15 and lasted 2 hours. It consisted of 5 or 6 behavioural questions in which they expect you to answer with examples in previous jobs/experiences. These questions were asked by a lady from HR while a lady from the Landing Gear department made notes. They then switched roles in the second part of the interview. I was given graphs to interpret as well as a schematic. They were both very supportive and wanted you to arrive at the answers, even if this was with a little bit of help from them.
