She didn’t greet me or introduce herself and frequently frowned or reacted skeptically to my responses throughout the conversation. When I asked whether the role was a replacement or expansion position, as I had noticed the same job posting appearing every few months, her response was, “why does it matter?” The overall experience felt unprofessional, and I informed the recruiter immediately after the interview that I wished to withdraw my application. It has been a few months since then, and I have noticed the role is being advertised again. That only reinforces my belief that withdrawing my application was the right decision.
