I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Affirm (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2019
Interview
1. Call with a recruiter, seemed to ask relevant questions about your experience.
2. A call with the hiring manager to ask for in depth questions about your C.V. and your work experience.
3. A few days later, scheduled a 5 person, 45 min ( each ) interview. This seemed nerve racking at first, but if you are comfortable with what you know and what to say, is not bad. These people are first-class, extremely intelligent and organized. I couldn’t speak higher about the people here. They were intelligent, but down to earth.
I worked on trading floors in SF and NY, and could tell you that this staff blew me away. What sticks out is how much they believe in the product and the company. That speaks highly of the people running the organization.

Question 1
Why Affirm ? That was a question that was asked more than once. I believe that they are looking for the right fit, and to ensure that you will work well as part of their mission statement. I did my research on this company, if you believe in their mantra, you will be a good fit, but make sure you understand, these guys know how to read a real answer and a made up one.
We're extremely proud of the people we've brought onto the team and are so happy to hear you were able to get a feel for that during your interview process. Welcome to Affirm!
Interviewed with a recruiter who couldn’t even share basic details of the team, basic job functions, etc. Left the call feeling like minimal relevant questions were asked and no engagement was given. One of the more disappointing interview experiences I’ve had.
Had a 30 minute initial call, where they were really excited about my background and made it clear I would be moving forward in the process. I received a follow-up email the same day asking for availability in order to schedule a call with the hiring manager. The interview was confirmed for a few days later. The following morning, my interview with the hiring manager was suddenly canceled with no information or follow up. I sent multiple messages asking why the interview was canceled but they provided no information for several days and then finally sent a boilerplate template email stating that they went with other candidates. I never received any additional feedback or reasoning for the excitement and urgency about moving forward…only to ghost me via canceling my interview.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Affirm (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2019
Interview
1. Phone interview by HR
2. Phone interview by hiring manager
3. On-site interview by hiring manager and 3 other managers.
The on-site interview started with a short tour of the office and ended by a wrap up by HR.
The interview process was well organized, highly professional and made the candidate feel welcomed. It was the best interview experience I've ever had.
