Open honest and transparent as more of an opportunity test to see if there was a potential fit. Not a Google style interview, expectations set not part of a corporate process and they are more interested in figuring out if the person is a good match for the company rather than a specific role initially.

I was given one of their products in my hand and asked to describe some features and explain why it was designed like that. I described how my previous employment history was related to the job.
