Interview
The recruiter was absolutely terrible and unprofessional. While the 6 phase process that others have explained was told to me, I did not make it that far. The recruiter switched the name of the role without understanding that the title I have listed here would be an individual contributor. The position I applied for was management level; i.e., Manager, Implementation Engineering. We booked the time; then she informed me that she didn't realize she had to be at a conference in my city the next week so we had to reschedule. Put us at 2.5 weeks before we met. She was late and seemed angry to speak with me. Note, I was on time and very understanding. People fall behind. Breathe. She then asked me the same question twice, "What do you see as the challenges in the job?" She read back her bullet points of my answer. I attempted to adjust one. She snapped at me, Overall she was so very rude that I decided midway through that I would not further pursue the job. By the time she told me the six stages that would end with my being interviewed by a member of the board, I was stifling laughter. She had mixed up where the position was located, the salary range, and the title. How could I expect someone so unprofessional and unprepared to recommend me for the position? Her answer to, "What type of thing would a case study entail?" was "How would I know?!?!?!" Again, she was angry and argumentative. We all have bad days. Unfortunately she decided to take it out on an applicant.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Adyen (Amsterdam) in Dec 2023
Interview
only had an interview with the hiring manager, The questions were very generic
They expect very high motivation, I think the expectation is a very exaggerated passion to work at this company

Interview
Adyen knows how to treat their interview candidates. This is the most refreshing interview process I've ever been through! No pre-screening call with talent partners. The first call was directly with a hiring manager, who spoke very openly. His questions were direct and well formulated. I was told at the end of the call that I was not the right fit for the role but, most importantly, the why was also explained. The ironic thing is this makes me want to work with Adyen even more.
