      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Acceleration Partners (Home, PA) in May 2018

      Interview

The interview process is very thorough and yet very organic. There is an initial phone interview with the recruiter to get a general sense about your experience, tendencies, viewpoints, work style. The questions are targeted towards identifying people who share the companies core values and the recruiter is very experienced so they will find out what they want to know about you on this call. If they feel you may be a good fit, you will get a homework assignment to test your basic skills, creativity, discretion, and decision-making process. If you get a passing grade on the homework assignment you will then be given the "real interview" with senior level employees who run teams of people. This is conducted by video chat so get a camera and a quiet room if you don't have one. This interview is much like the initial phone interview in that the questions are geared towards identifying people who share the companies core values. One key difference is that this video call will be with two people who will both relentlessly question you. In general, all of the people at AP are very friendly, but they are also very serious professionals so this interview is positive but intense and that's clearly done for a reason. If you pass this interview, there will be a final interview which is really more of a coffee date with someone who works for AP in a town near you. It is an interview, but it is more of a getting to know you before they extend an offer. For this interview, just relax and be yourself. You would not have gotten to this point if they did not like what they saw in you. This process can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. AP is growing very rapidly but they ALWAYS have a plan before they act and that goes double for hiring. If you don't hear anything, they may be moving current employees around from team to team to make room for you or evaluating how many new clients they want to take on to ensure there is enough work to do.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What would your former/current supervisor say are your strengths and weaknesses? How are you exploiting your strengths and accounting for your weaknesses?
      1 Answer
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Acceleration Partners (Manchester, England) in Mar 2026

      Interview

Five interview stages for a role requiring only 1–2 years of experience feels excessive. A 30-minute interview, a task, a 45-minute interview, creating a presentation, and then presenting it with questions seems unnecessarily long for such a position.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Acceleration Partners in Aug 2022

      Interview

I really enjoyed the interview process with AP. After applying, you will have a phone call with a recruiter so they can understand your basic information and work experience. This call really helps you to know more about the company and position. After that, you will complete a homework assignment with a few tasks similar to what you would be doing in the real position. The next step is a 1.5 hour long call with 1-2 managers where you will go through typical Q&A, as well as present a mini presentation on yourself. I felt extremely comfortable during this meeting and my interviewers were super friendly and interested in what I had to share about myself. You will also hear more about company benefits and how your position is structured. Although this process may be longer than others, they remained in great communication with me and it was a really great experience!
