I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at ATK Tactical Systems (Clearfield, UT) in Apr 2014
Interview
After responding to a web posting for the position on their job site I received a call about a month later requesting to set up an interview via WebEX. The interview consisted of two engineers that would be working in the same section as I was, asking questions in a panel format. Their questions were primarily from a pre-made list, though every now and then they would introduce a question to clarify an answer or to pivot quickly to another topic. After interviewing we parted ways and the following week they called again with their decision, which was to offer me the position. From there I was asked to fill out a basic agreement for background check before going into further detail beyond the web posting about the job.

Question 1
How would you react in [X] situation? The [X] being several things from work place problems, inter personal problems, and operational problems. My best guess is that they were interested in figuring out how I would react both professionally and personally with the work I was given and as a member of their manufacturing team.

Interview
Applied online in early December 2013. Received a phone call from an engineer 2 months later for an interview. The interview was relatively informal, we chatted about my resume. It was clear early on in the conversation that I wasn't quite what he was looking for (he wanted a mechanical grad student, but based on my experiences thought he'd give me a chance). He was really helpful and offered some advice about getting into the aerospace industry.
