I was initially contacted by the company for an interview, which I attended. The first interview with the director was straightforward, and she mentioned that I would have further interviews with HR and another department member. After waiting, HR finally showed up but surprisingly told me that the others had left and that they would contact me later if I was accepted. this was odd since she was the HR representative.
As expected, I didn’t anticipate a follow-up, but they did call me later, sending me a task to complete before the deadline. I submitted it on time, and the following day, they called to inform me that I had passed and would need to come for another interview. Before this, they asked me to complete an IQ and English test, which I did and passed.
On the day of the second round, I had two interviews: one with a person from the content department, who was lovely, and one with the same HR representative. The latter was extremely nervous and strange, making me feel anxious and uncomfortable due to her poor communication and off-putting demeanor. At the end of the interview, she mentioned that another HR would contact me for salary negotiations, which I found odd since they had refused to discuss any salary or benefits from the beginning.
The next day, a different HR person called, asking for very detailed information about my current salary and benefits, which made me uncomfortable. When I inquired about the next steps, she said they would review whether my salary request was acceptable and that I would receive either a job offer or a rejection email. However, they never contacted me again. Despite sending a follow-up email and WhatsApp messages to two different people, I received no response.
Overall, this was a very disappointing and disorganized experience. I was genuinely interested in joining the company, but this experience left me feeling let down and unappreciated. After all these steps, I deserved at least a response or a job offer that I could accept or refuse.
