      Energy Modeling Analyst Interview

      18 Oct 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Houston, TX
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ARCXIS (Houston, TX) in Oct 2022

      Interview

I was referred to by a current employee, it took about 1 week to set up the initial interview, which lasted only a mirror 15 minutes, where a manager described the position in the job, but didn't ask me many questions. Dominantly mentioned the responsibilities, and the fact that while they recognize employees pay half problems, they expect their employees to solve them on their own before asking any questions. After the interview, I assumed it went well as it was short I didn't ask my questions, so I expected an offer soon, but was not extended an offer for another 3 weeks and was off for mere $17 an hour, which is embarrassing for a company of that size considering employee should be able to live in the area which would require about at least 45-50,000 a year.
