Setting up the interview was relatively easy. The recruiter reached out to me because my resume had enough experience to the specific job I was applying for.
This is where my experience was terrible...on the day of the interview not only did the recruiter tell me she was missing something to do at the office because she had to speak to me, after she was the one to schedule the interview. As we were talking she then proceeded to get very awkward and interrupt me and said “well I don’t know what made me like you and your resume but you’re just not fit for this position”.
I still had to complete the interview after that very soul crushing comment, and it was very awkward. I appreciated the honesty but, seriously who says that? I’ve never had a HR representative or Recruiter say that to me in my life. Overall it was a terrible experience.
To AIS:
Why reach out to someone if you don’t think they have the qualities in the first place? Review the resume first before reaching out.
To Potential Candidate:
Don’t let my experience get you down if you are a potential candidate. You may have a different recruiter reach out to you for a completely different position.
