      Machine Learning Engineer Interview

      17 Apr 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at AIG (London, England) in Nov 2017

      Interview

Recruiter approached me saying AIG were looking for someone with my profile and he scheduled two phone interviews (30min each) that were meant to be a discussion around my CV — or so I was told. The actual phone interviews were "pen and paper" exercises. Apart from that, the first interviewer was super nice and we had interesting discussions. The second interviewer seemed to be quite unhappy and not keen on interviewing at all. Given that I did not prepare for pen and paper exercises, it suffices to say that the whole thing could have gone a lot better. The questions themselves were not hard, but a bit of specific preparation would have been very helpful.
