The hiring manager reached out via text message to set up a screening call. After a week, I just got a random call from a recruiter who wanted to set up an on-site interview few days later. Since they are working on a hybrid model, they only had limited availability and I couldn't fit into their schedule so they ended up sending me a generic email saying they are considering other candidates.
I understand the job market is hard and people are desperate, but it is unprofessional and disrespectful to just "broadcast" what they want via phone calls and text messages. At least they should've given a written email to confirm availability.
