      Gaming Support Representative Interview

      4 Oct 2023
      Anonymous employee
      Manila, Manila
      Accepted offer

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at 5CA in Aug 2018

      Interview

1 year ago when I went through the interview it was a bit more complicated than it is now. We had to do several tests, including personality and language knowledge. Since then the tests have been simplified and are easier to pass and take less time to do. Interview also included 2 calls 1:1 with (junior) recruiter, 1 call with head of HR but since then I believe the amount of interviews has decreased - therefore easier and quicker to pass them.

      Gaming Support Representative Interview

      6 Oct 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Remote, OR
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at 5CA (Remote, OR) in Sept 2017

      Interview

The interview process is WAYYYY too complicated for a $10/hour job. I've had $30/hour jobs without an interview or with 1 interview. This company is crazy! They told me that I aced every test and interview, and I was offered a position, but I declined due to the pay being unacceptable. The interview process, conducted by 5CA HR employees who lack any semblance of affability or people skills, goes as follows: 1. TAKE A 4 HOUR TEST! You read that correctly. The first part of the interview is a 4 hour online test, consisting of a bunch of customer service scenarios and logic games. It's monotonous, and will take you half a day to complete. If you score well on the test, you move on to step 2. 2. First Skype interview, to confirm you can speak English and are who you say you are. This takes about half an hour. He is not friendly. 3. Second Skype interview , where he asks you about your video game knowledge and background. This takes another half an hour. He is not friendly. He also makes sure that you're aware that the position pays you $10/hour as a contractor with no benefits, although you are contracted for $11.20/hour. They give $1.20 an hour to the company that pays you, or $48 per week, in something that seems like a type of kickback scam, and leave you with $10/hour. 4. Third Skype Interview, where he has you take a 1 HOUR gaming knowledge test, while being filmed on Skype. The test asks you about various aspects of gaming, esports, etc., and requires quite a bit of writing. If you pass you move on to step 5. Remember, this is a $10/hour job. 5. You don't have the job yet, not by a longshot. You are now required to spend an hour of your own time installing about 10GB of archaic software on your computer. You must then connect with the IT department via Skype and TeamViewer, where he checks to make sure everything is installed correctly. Once this is confirmed you move on to step 6. 6. Fourth Skype interview with the final boss. He is also, unsurprisingly, not friendly. He asks you about your employment background and gaming knowledge, the same as the other interviews. This takes half an hour, and is again a waste of your time. 7. They will now take a week to consider you for the glorious $10/hour customer service position. Then you must have a FIFTH Skype interview. In my case, he indicated that I got a 100 on the gaming knowledge test, aced all the interviews, and that they would be pleased to offer me a position, the details of which would be discussed the next day during a SIXTH Skype interview. By this point, I had received an offer from another company for $30/hour, and politely informed 5CA that I would not be accepting the position. However, if you have no other options, and have approximately 10 hours to spend on pre-interviews and tests for a $10/hour contractor position with no benefits, feel free to apply here. On a side note, Sutherland and many other companies offer similar positions without all the pre-interviews and tests, if you get stuck somewhere. Good luck!
