      Digital Marketing Associate Interview

      30 Jan 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Atlanta, GA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at 51 Labs (Atlanta, GA) in Dec 2023

      Interview

The interview process was extremely long and unorganized. They dragged me through 4 rounds of interviewing, and they asked me to join one of those interviews at the very last minute (literally 30 minutes before), the day after Christmas. After they asked me to interview at the last minute, I explained to them that I was out of town for the holiday and I just got on the road preparing to drive 8 hours to get back home. I thought that any normal person would’ve understood and rescheduled, but no! Jordan Selleck & his wife Jing Li (CEOs of the company) showed no empathy and urged me to take the call claiming that it would only take a second. It didn’t. It took 45 minutes and I was completely unprepared, I didn’t even look appropriate for an interview at the time. On top of that, they made me complete 2 assignments. One of which was a 3 minute video (before even going through an initial screening interview) explaining why I wanted the job. The second was a written assignment that I had to complete after the third interview. They asked me to come into the office for the 4th interview and did not tell me until 45 minutes before that other candidates would also be interviewing at the same time as me. And the final thing that REALLY pissed me off about this company is during the end of my 4th interview, Jing asked me to send her my references just to reject me from the job 3 hours later that same day. If you knew you were going to reject me, why even ask for my references? And they stole my ideas from the written assignment and used them. Totally unorganized and a waste of time. Jordan and Jing if you are reading this, shame on you both!!!

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The questions were pretty average but it was kind of hard to understand Jing at moments & they went through their slides about the company and their clients WAY too quickly and expected questions based off of what they presented.
