I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at 2U in Feb 2014
Interview
The interview process was rushed and disorganized. It was expected that the interviewee would bend to their schedule for a phone screen, phone interview, and 2 in-person interviews (4 appointments total if you're counting). I frequently heard "we want to make a quick decision, can you come in tomorrow at [insert specific time]?" (I was currently employed at the time, scheduling during business hours wasn't easy). I was given the impression that if I didn't meet their schedule I would be eliminated from consideration. At the interviews, the hiring manager was constantly distracted by online chats and passed me off to other managers. After rearranging my schedule multiple times to meet their needs, and got to the point of reference checks, there was over 2 weeks of radio silence only be to told they were going in a different direction. I never received any kind of explanation as to what happened.
I applied online. I interviewed at 2U (Boca Raton, FL) in Mar 2021
Interview
1. Initial screen call with a recruiter
2. 1-hour video interview with 3 people in position I was interviewing for
3. Take home assessment
4. 45- minute video interview with 3 hiring managers
I am passionate about the 2U mission and was thrilled to interview for a role with the company. The initial steps in the interview were executed swiftly, but my candidate experience after the final interview leaves quite a bit to be desired. Recruiters are hard to get a hold of, decision deadlines are moving targets and communication is non-existent. Whether or not I got the job, this post-interview experience has been eye-opening.
The take home assessment was essentially responding to interview questions in written format.
In my 1-hour interview with peers in the role I was interviewing for, it was abundantly clear that one of the interviewers wasn't paying attention.
Again, I love the 2U mission and enjoyed the people I met, but the interview process could probably serve to be evaluated and improved.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at 2U (Washington, DC) in Jun 2020
Interview
I submitted my application online and afterwards had an employee send an internal referral to HR. I received a phone interview request the day after the internal referral was sent! At the end of the phone interview, the recruiter invited me to video interview with the team. I had a total of three video interviews, including one with a VP, and received an offer less than a week after. The entire process took 5 months due to 2U having a hiring pause during COVID-19. The process was overall smooth, the recruiter was personable and quick to respond to questions, and the team was authentic and positive. I am looking forward to joining the organization!
Had a Zoom interview but got rejected by a very generic email without any real reason or indication as to why the application was not successful. After following up for feedback no response was received.
