Little to no room for career growth in CS - promotions are horizontal, and usually end up with way higher/more involved work load and minimal additional pay. Highly competitive and political within CS, management seems to pick favourites. Staff is over worked and under paid. They want you to have a university degree to do this job, yet pay in line with fast food industry. $40K/year as an entry level cxa is $20 an hour….. for a university educated individual? People can’t survive.
