Pros
Some excellent coworkers and district managers genuinely care about their teams and customers. There’s strong camaraderie among staff who try to make the best of difficult circumstances.
Cons
Micromanagement is extreme. Leadership continually adds new checklists and reports, often used to discipline rather than support employees. General Managers have seen increased responsibilities while compensation steadily decreases. When concerns about pay, staffing, or outdated store conditions are raised in town halls, they are routinely dismissed.
The company preaches “work-life balance” and “people first,” but salaried managers are expected to be available constantly with little recognition or reward. Raises only happen when required by law, not merit or performance. Sales goals double year over year while commissions are cut, and product prices are inflated beyond manufacturer guidance—creating frustration for both employees and customers.
There are also serious ethical concerns. Fraudulent activity has been ignored or rewarded, while honest employees who speak up face retaliation. It’s telling that major retail partners have cut ties with the company after compliance issues.
