One of the worst companies i’ve ever worked for
Pros
Not many pros unfortunately, working for Verizon and helpful colleagues.
Cons
The main con is that you are always left alone during every shift, whether you are closing alone after the opener leaves which is normally 3-4 hours before closing or when the closer calls off and you need to work an open to close shift alone. Extremely unsafe especially if you’re a woman, even customers are concerned for your safety. Good luck once you get extremely busy. Another con is never having any management. In my experience my manager manages 3 stores and is impossible to have access to him. If needed, I need to call them even on their day off for any help which should not be normalized, but is in this company. Due to never having a manager around, you are left to dealing with angry customers that are angry at other reps and losing out on opportunities with other customers. I feel for new hires because you will get thrown in and only have access to a manager for a week if that. Lastly, there’s not such thing as a work/ life balance. You will always get phone calls and text messages on your days off. Whether from other reps about a previous customer you’ve helped, or especially management wanting to to talk about work. Days off are not respected and again it’s normalized to pick up the phone and work on your day off.
