What are sales commissions like at Victoria's Secret?

I feel like they call you out on the head sets if your not selling enough. High expectations with no commission to meet all these selling goals for a "bonus" that mainly it benefits full time employees because you get paid more based on hours worked. Toxic when staff become very competitive over selling the most per shift.

Not a great experience. Workplace culture is toxic positivity. Managers have favourites and if you are not one of them expect to be treated poorly. You start out seasonal and if they like you they will keep you. Training isn’t sufficient . They expect you to come in 10-20 minutes unpaid to read a bunch of sales targets which you get no commission for. Lots of unnecessary sales pressure. They expect you to be a cashier, bra expert, cleaner, back stock everything in one when it’s impossible for one person to do. It’s hard to focus when you constantly have an ear piece in your ear yelling about making sales and pressuring customers. Managers are very clingy and give you mixed directions on what work to perform so there’s no organization which makes it stressful when managers are telling you different things. Freebies are nice but they don’t pay the bills but it’s not worth the stress, lack of pay, and lack of really short shifts. They talk about inclusivity and kindness, but don’t preach what you don’t practice.

Occasional free items for workers

The employees at PINK and Victoria Secret in Kings Plaza Brooklyn, NY are overworked. There is way too much pressure to sell sell sell like all retail. However, you low key get in trouble if you don’t sell, sometimes there is no one in the store we can’t sell if no one is shopping, we still get spoken to if we don’t meet your sales goal. No other store keeps Tracy of an employees individual sales the way Victoria Secret and PINK does. at least back then you use to make commission, now there’s no commission and just harsh work environment and unnecessary pressure.

You get 40-50% off products, but this is also a bad thing, as it encourages you to spend your paycheck on their merchandise...

You will ALWAYS work past the time your schedule says your shift ends. You will sometimes not receive any break, as stated in the employee handbook. You will be in the store until 10:30 PM (2.5 hours past closing time) to fold panties and restore the visual merchandising. Customers are rude and entitled. You will be expected to sell one credit card application per shift, minimum, without any commission or incentive. Managers micro manage the associates and will always find something you are doing to be "wrong". Overall annoying. Not worth the pay.
