Limited Growth, Limited Flexibility, Limited Accountability
Pros
You can work from home
Cons
Limited flexibility in scheduling. In my experience, strong performance did not translate into meaningful progression opportunities. I also felt that proposing improvements or new ideas was not encouraged, and in some cases seemed to work against me rather than help. I also experienced an unresolved finance-related issue that, in my view, created a double-taxation problem. I raised the matter by email, but I did not receive a resolution. Overall, I felt that the company placed too much trust in certain internal decision-makers while giving limited consideration to concerns raised from lower levels of the organization. The experience disappointed me deeply. It was one of the reasons I decided I would rather work independently than have another employer again. If the company responds to this review, I hope readers understand that the problem was not that these concerns were never raised. They were. The people in a position to listen and help had opportunities to do so, and in my experience those opportunities were not used. That is exactly the kind of leadership and accountability issue I am describing.
