      Pros

I've been at Smartpricing for two years, and it's been an incredible journey. I started as an SDR and recently earned a promotion to Junior Account Executive, a testament to the company's commitment to recognizing and rewarding hard work. This promotion was based on my results, which speaks volumes about the meritocratic environment here. From day one, I felt supported and encouraged to grow. The training and mentorship I received as an SDR were invaluable, providing me with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed. Now, as a Junior Account Executive, I'm even more excited about the challenges and opportunities ahead. What truly sets Smartpricing apart is its amazing company culture. It's a collaborative and positive atmosphere where everyone is genuinely invested in each other's success. My colleagues are not just coworkers; they're a supportive team that celebrates wins together. The leadership is accessible and transparent, fostering open communication and a sense of belonging.

      Cons

While the majority of my colleagues embrace the 'work hard, have fun' culture, there are a few instances where individuals seem misaligned with these values. This occasionally creates friction and impacts the overall team dynamic. I hope management continues to reinforce the importance of these cultural values and addresses any deviations promptly.

Supportive leadership that values transparency and feedback Fast-paced environment with lots of opportunities to learn Collaborative team culture with smart, driven colleagues Clear mission and strong focus on delivering value to customers Flexible work arrangements and good work-life balance

      Cons

Rapid growth can lead to occasional growing pains and shifting priorities Processes are still being defined in some areas, which might feel chaotic for some Limited resources at times – you need to be scrappy and proactive

      Good potential wasted

      Pros

Some talented and supportive colleagues make the work environment rewarding, offering valuable opportunities for learning and growth. Remote work options provide flexibility and a good work-life balance. There’s a strong chance to expand your professional network, as you can collaborate with a variety of people across different teams and disciplines.

      Cons

The CEO has no real training or meaningful experience outside of Smartpricing and a series of likely failed micro-startups. Despite this, he forcefully inserts himself into every project and team—including development—offering opinions that resemble those of a stubborn 10-year-old rather than a competent leader. Even after hiring internationally experienced managers, he disregards their expertise, leading them to leave within months. I’ve witnessed him lecturing former Amazon-level professionals on how to write emails or why his demos were superior—an astonishing display of arrogance and incompetence. His leadership is nothing more than a thin layer of flashy slogans masking years of poor decisions and failed ideas, creating confusion and driving talent away. The company stays afloat thanks to a handful of truly skilled individuals, like the CTO and a few overworked, underappreciated all-rounders scattered across different teams. These people silently take on real problems and try to keep things running despite the chaos.

I know who’s writing, and I genuinely feel sorry about this message. If my approach was inconvenient in any way, I sincerely apologize. I'm also sorry that we had to part ways and that the last performance review was negative (and that you probably didn’t expect it). That said, I truly appreciate the feedback—it will definitely help me refine my approach and deepen my understanding of how to better support my colleagues in the right way. A few points about what you mentioned: I don’t give lectures during demos—that’s actually my co-founder, Tommaso, our CRO. Why does he do that? Because he has an incredible amount of experience in selling our product and the highest conversion rate in the company (well above 50%). No one else has achieved that level of success, so even if someone comes from "Amazon," Tommaso can still add value to them. The same goes for emails, response rates, and follow-ups—his track record speaks for itself. Some of the world's top founders had never scaled anything before building their first big company (which makes this assumption quite offensive), and many weren’t technical founders (or experienced CTOs)—think of the CEOs of Airbnb (industrial design), Amazon (who never wrote a line of code for the company nor was a famous CTO), Apple (Steve Jobs), Virgin (Richard Branson), and Alibaba (Jack Ma). So I’d say I’m in good company (and I've been studying these topics for the last 15 years) :) Sometimes, smart people assume that solving hard problems requires complex, time-consuming, and overly structured solutions. But that’s not always the case. More than once (actually, many times) in our company, we’ve over-engineered things, only to realize that the solution was much simpler—and sometimes, the "problem" wasn’t even a problem at all. Very glad that you liked our tech team so much :) I’d be happy to jump on a call to chat and dig deeper. With love, Luca

      Pros

Innovative product with potential. Remote working with flexible hours. Range of related products, an opportunity to upsell and better engage customers. Industry specific - working externally with open and friendly people from the hospitality industry.

      Cons

Lack of management transparency and unfair commission plans - the more senior you are and the more you earn for the company, the less you earn in percentage terms. Poor communication process leading to confusion, poor efficiency, loss of valuable time. Setting targets based on salary negotiations, leading to unachievable numbers. Changing terms and conditions drastically after recruitment. No cultural guidelines, but a lot of unjustified statements.

      Pros

After one year in the company, I can confidently say that I feel genuinely valued, both as a professional and as a person. The environment is challenging, but in a positive way: expectations are clear, the pace is stimulating, and you can clearly see the impact of your work on the business. There is a strong sense of ownership and trust, and good performance is recognized. It’s a place where you’re encouraged to grow, take responsibility, and continuously improve, while working with smart and motivated people.

      Cons

Nothing major to point out. The pressure can be high at times, but it really depends on how you manage it. There are periods where you might work longer hours, yet without really feeling like you are “working,” thanks to the level of ownership and engagement.

      Pros

Smartpricing has been a surprise to me in many ways, I was excited to join and the invitation to start my first week with the company in their offices in Italy was of course appealing. I had no idea how hands on and impressive the training would be and how well planned it was to create a dynamic and positive culture between new starters and management despite being a remote job. They have 6 clear values that everyone adheres to and I am pleased at how welcoming everyone is and how in contact you feel with your team members despite it being fully remote. Couldn't recommend more to anyone considering a sales role with Smartpricing.

      Cons

If you are not looking for a remote job and are not based in Italy close enough to drop by the office whenever you want then perhaps it won't be the role for you. However there have been no disadvantages to speak of since joining.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with Smartpricing! We're thrilled to hear that your initial expectations have been met and even exceeded. It’s great to know that you found our training to be hands-on and impactful, and that our efforts to build a strong, connected culture have resonated with you, especially in a remote setting. We understand that a remote role might not be for everyone, and we appreciate your honest feedback. It's important to us that every team member feels supported and engaged, regardless of location, so it's reassuring to hear that you feel in touch with your team and aligned with our company values. We’re grateful for your recommendation and are excited to continue supporting your growth with us. If there's anything more we can do to enhance your experience, please don't hesitate to reach out our HR team. Thanks again for being a valued part of the Smartpricing team!
