Multiple acquisitions over the last few years and they are still streamlining processes. Lots of change right now, which can be hard. No clear path for career advancement.

I had great coworkers and great mangers. Understand work life balance. Good pay. Work is rewarding

Upper management does not care about employee success. Preformed lay offs based on who took most PTO in a year instead of performance based. Really messed things up for lower level employees

It was a complete mismatch of values between me and Sinch. I value experimentation, continuous learning, friendly and helpful colleagues, and being seen as a human being, among other things. My experience at Sinch is as follows: - Status quo triumphed over new ideas - Learning opportunity was limited to only my job description (as per the employee handbook at that time, external training was heavily down-prioritized) - My colleagues were mainly interested in having a transactional relationship instead of a social relationship - I was only my role, and nothing more During the worst period of COVID-19, many of my colleagues (or their families) in a particular country were sick and were unable to work. I tried to protect them and let them recover before returning to work. Still, another colleague insisted they should continue working on one specific thing. For me, that was the nail in the coffin. It was very dehumanizing and I knew I had to leave.

- remote generally allowed - family style meals in the very posh office if you live close by - lots of very talented managers with lots of experience - good pay for the role

- constant management shuffles and reorganization - really build up the team and your confidence in going further with them (ie talk of shadowing new roles, mentors, employee resource groups) - promises of 100% transparency from manager and her managed that were high enough to make a statement like that literally weeks before layoffs
