What are sales commissions like at Russell Cellular?

Most of the people I work with are great people and I have a great time working with them.

Pay. The hourly and commission or the lack there of are low and its hard for day to day life now. All they care about are the numbers and weather or not you can sell perks and internet. Some management is a joke. Being told that it isn't their job to be on the sales floor and help with a very big rush and/or not knowing how promotions work. Have the threat of a write up and possibly losing your job is not a motivator. For how long I've been with the company I've been over looked for a promotion multiple times. Raises or lack there of. Saying that we are family. No we are coworkers and possibly friends when i work with you every day and i see you more then my actually family.

unprofessional attitude company-wide. the recruiter lured me in under false pretenses of making $2100 in commission/month when they made the mistake of making everyone’s numbers public. the top sales person in the COMPANY wasn’t even bringing home $900 a month. that’s with over 80 activations. making a good amount of money here is near impossible unless you’re committing some kind of fraud against your customers. commission payouts are the lowest i’ve ever seen by industry standard and for the amount of work you have to do to even get one sale, it’s not worth the $5 or $10 when you can be making $25-$35 per activation elsewhere. training is an absolute joke. zoom meetings every day for two weeks. if you miss ONE, you’re restarting your training from day one. i never applied for the position i was offered, which should have been my first red flag but i needed a job and this was it.

Great team-oriented company working to meet commission-based objectives in a competitive retail sales environment.

Very authoritative and despotic management. Commission tiers slowly deteriorate and unrealistic unnecessary expectations from Jevon Russell and other upper management who do not understand the nuances of working day-to-day operations in a retail sales environment. While this company has been excellent for many years, Russell Cellular has slowly lost experience and tenured employees by cutting costs and making changes that make life harder for customers and sales reps. Things like lowing minimum wage from 15 to 13 in certain areas

It was a full-time job

The DM was a bully, my co-workers flagrantly broke company policy regarding fraud and security, and the customers were genuinely some of the worst I've ever experienced. And they held us to the same sales expectations as the rest of the country even though we were located in a town of 1000 residents with not even a Walmart as an anchor store. There was no way to achieve the "points" necessary to get the full amount of commission we earned per pay period.

Fantastic leadership. Enjoyable atmosphere to work in. Good opportunities for commission.

Inconsistent Schedule. Must be willing to work two weekends out of every month.

The job as a whole is okay. Laid back store environment.

Constant high pressure for sales. Constant documentation, reports. Constant change for our commission and KPIs with no heads up changes on a dime. Expected to pivot with any changes the day of with hardly any support. Juat a few zoom meeting that we have to some how get on when being alone in the store or with customers.
