What is working from home like at Rivian?

They give you free snacks to pacify your unhappiness.

Commission changes every quarter and rarely will you make any money. You sell a 100k vehicle and you will get 60 dollars in commission before taxes. No work from home. Demand is diminishing, so they've begun to cut people to avoid layoffs which will hurt the stock price.

Pay is alright. Most the team members are good people and in the same sinking ship as you if still working with Rivian.

Absolutely can not believe anything about scheduling or timing in general. Constantly getting held up and false info. Will be told to work 10 hours then by lunch time they says it’s 12 hours. Also have zero home life. It’s just living at work.

Pay is decent for the job. The team supervisors are very flexible and easy going. Hybrid WFH and in office is nice.

Performance isn’t measured in any meaningful way yet so underperformers are able to scrape by. Management has attempted to change this but has had no traction. The tools suck and are broken including the one that assigns work (customers) resulting in very uneven workloads between team members.

Health care benefits are subsidized significantly. Work from home after 6 months. Great team and leadership!
