What is the salary like at Punch Bowl Social?

-Party pay is great -Friday/ Saturday nights stay busy -Lots & lots of co-workers to befriend

-Extremely disorganized -Not enough dish ware in venue to accommodate customers lol -ALL craft cocktails which is very hindering when dealing with high, high volume on weekends -Mediocre Tips (craft cocktails take longer to make so less $$) -CONSTANT secret shoppers: if you don't list specials at beginning of convo + stir Old Fashioned etc. for 40 revolutions you get fired on the spot (saw this occur with 5-10 employees)

They offer relatively fair pay.

There is a lot of preferential treatment. They prefer to give hours to illegal immigrants and yes men, rather than people that actually do a good job. Also, only managers are considered full time employees so that they can avoid offering benefits to their work staff!

Great place to work. Fair management, thorough training, and quick advancement for competent and hard workers who are willing to learn. The money was also great even for a barback. If covid hadn't shut the place down for too long, I'd still be there.

Bartenders tended to run things, a bit of tedious micromanagement, and the corporate culture and philosophy were a bit cornball.

Scratch kitchen and some good people.

Totally fake culture of "cool". Low pay.

HR was the ceos sister or wife or something, real strange. They didn’t really care about employees or customers, just looking good for private events. The money would have been better if management at the time hadn’t stolen tips from the pool

It was a blemish on my resume. The company culture is very toxic and not conducive to a productive work environment. Leadership is a joke from the top down, so many people in leadership that have no place being in their positions. The company is hemorrhaging money and the investors are p*ssed. The company will either be solvent or bought out within two years. So many things are broken and after a year of a new CEO, there’s been almost zero improvement. I learned a lot about what not to do and not how to run a company. Their “safe space” policy is a joke and routinely put up with bullying and harassment across many locations even after being brought to the attention of HR and senior “leadership”. The GMs and regionals only care about saving their own butts and don't care about their own teams.
