How is the work/life balance at Octopus Energy?

Fantastic place to work now - some real work has gone into making the field team feeling included and heard. Could still pay us more but actually the work life balance, genuine care and leaders you get here is so much better than other places i have worked.

Good work life balance, plenty opportunities for overtime if wanted. High quality van and tools provided and easy to get replacements. Plenty of training and opportunities to learn new skills.

Slow to progress within company or receive promotions.

Great work life balance, fantastic leadership and managers, opportunities to grow and develop within the company.

Pension package could be improved especially to encourage the young employees to save for the future.

The culture here is one of the best, you can adapt your work to you and have the work life balance you've dreamt to have! The managers actually care for you and your development also, connecting you with the relevant people for whatever goals and aspirations you might have for the future!

Workload can sometimes be a lot!

I love a lot of things about working at Octopus Energy. The level of autonomy and freedom is unmatched compared to places I have worked at in the past. I'm able to truly own what I was hired to do and am given the trust to make decisions and try new things within my function, which means I'm always able to learn and challenge myself. The team is also incredible across all levels. The US team, the leadership team, the wider global team - I get to work alongside brilliant folks each day who are all excited by the innovative work we're doing in an outdated industry. There's also a lot of flexibility and work/life balance, which is a huge value of mine. I dont feel like people are counting hours or counting holidays and are more focused on outcomes, which I truly, TRULY appreciate. Really excited to see where we are in another 5 years :)

Things move very quickly and it sometimes feels like the only constant is change. I dont think its a bad thing, we're doing a lot and moving fast, but it isn't for everybody.

Amazing place to work, lots of perks, amazing people and culture. Been at Octopus for a short period and they already speaking about my personal development!! Other companies should learn from Octopus on how to keep the work life balance and culture too. Lots of amazing benefits and flexibility. Spoken to many people in the business and so many have been promoted within the business.

Cant really fault anything, maybe the snacks run out too quickly when alot of people in the office lol
