      Pros

My team is excellent. There is an emphasis on work/life balance, my manager trusts us to do our jobs and genuinely cares about our wellbeing, and it is a great opportunity to get paid to learn. The benefits are good and have improved since I was hired, but they do not make up for the lack of raises/promotions.

      Cons

Most teams do not appear to have the same approach as mine. Micromanaging is rampant, as are layoffs/restructuring. Every month, we hear how much money our products made and how successful we are, but when it comes time for promotions, raises, or even allocating budget for conferences, suddenly there isn't any. The company also boasts about DEI initiatives, but has done next to nothing in terms of action. There was not even an acknowledgement of Black History month or Pride, much less a celebration.

Thank you for your thoughtful and detailed feedback. We're thrilled to hear that you value your team, work/life balance, and the opportunity to learn and grow in your role. It's also encouraging to know that our improvements to benefits plans have been noticed. We take your concerns seriously, particularly regarding inconsistencies in management styles, opportunities for growth, and the need for tangible DEI initiatives. These are critical areas we are working to address as we strive to create a supportive and equitable environment for all employees. Your insights are invaluable, and we will share them with leadership to help drive meaningful change. Thank you for sharing your perspective.

      Pros

Offers remote job options, providing flexibility in work location.

      Cons

Toxic Micromanagement: The micromanagement culture here is suffocating. Every task is scrutinized and controlled, leaving little room for autonomy. Excessive Work Hours: Expect to work long hours daily, often stretching beyond what is reasonable, with no recognition or support for your extra efforts. Lack of Listening: There’s no one in management who listens to concerns or values feedback. The work-life balance is virtually nonexistent, and your well-being is completely overlooked. Very Poor Management: Management is disconnected from the reality of the team’s struggles. Decisions are often made without regard for the actual impact on employees, and the lack of communication makes it even worse. Employees Treated as Numbers: The company views its employees as mere numbers, with little regard for their individual well-being, contributions, or career growth. It’s all about metrics and performance, with no personal value placed on the people behind the work.

At Norstella, we strive to create a culture where everybody feels supported and rewarded. Like many fast-growth companies, things move rapidly and that can be challenging, which may not suit everybody. As a current employee, we hope that you can see we're taking steps to improve this. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

Work life balance FINISHED after becoming Norstella

      Pros

MMIT acquired many companies and now the all the companies together became Norstella. MMIT had great work life balance and very healthy work culture before the acquisitions.

      Cons

After acquisitions the culture changed completely. People from newly acquired companies are at higher position and spoiled the whole MMIT culture. Work life balance is completely finished !! There is only stress, pressure and around the clock thankless work. The CEO promotes the principles but after the acquisitions those principles are just for namesake. You can not share any issues with HR as they are not trustable anymore and there is fear of getting fired. If you want to forget your personal life and sanity join the Norstella team.
